Initial Itch.io Launch Notes

Introduction

Hey everyone, Sunny Island Studio here! Today, we launched the game Creature Slayer, a game that involves crafting, mining, and plenty of story. Creature Slayer was inspired by several games like: Monster Hunter, Summon Night: Swordcraft, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy. On Itch.io, the price will currently stay as a "Pay what you want" price, until the game reaches a mature stage, at which point, the price currently suggested will become the full price.

• Mine for ore
• Craft items and forge weapons and armor
• Perform quests
• Upgrade the village

Fixes

• Decreased level amount to enter boss battle 
• Add more equipment
• Fixed saving system

Bugs/Issues

• Boss creature dies too quickly
• Enemies should be removed upon death
• Grinding from level  1 to 20 was too repetitive
  • Need to increase XP rates of old and new content

Feedback and Future Plans

Currently, Itch.io is the only place to publicly purchase Creature Slayer. A Microsoft Store version was released and then removed due to issues with the MSIX launcher. If any developer has experience with porting EXE to MSIX, please get in touch. We would compensate you for your time helping port.

We have plans to add more content, further the story, rebalance the enemies, and increase XP popups.
